Tiffany Puett

Tiffany Puett is a scholar of American religions, a community educator, and the Founder and Executive Director of the Institute for Diversity and Civic Life, a non-profit based in Austin, TX. At IDCL, she leads community-based research and public scholarship that explores Texas's religious and cultural diversity as well as issues of identity, equity, belonging, and democracy-building. These initiatives include Religions Texas, an oral history initiative and digital archive; the Migration Narratives Project, a project to explore the stories of immigrants and refugees in Texas through narrative, oral history, and other interpretive storytelling methods; the Oral History for Social Change online certificate program, and the Community-based Scholarship online certificate program. She also teaches in St. Edward's University's Department of Religious Studies and the Honors Program. She holds a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Waterloo and a master’s degree in Ethics from Boston University.
