Jason Rivas

Jason Rivas is a historical studies project planner for the Texas Department of Transportation, Environmental Affairs Division. He graduated from Texas State University’s Public History Program with a concentration in public history and memory, oral history, and historic preservation. Formerly an AmeriCorps summer intern for Lockhart State Park, a Preservation Scholar at the Texas Historical Commission, and a LISC AmeriCorps service member at Avenue CDC, Mr. Rivas has also conducted oral histories with Near Northside and Northline community residents in Houston and is currently working on an oral history project regarding Tejano families in Hays County.
